New Hampshire Funeral Home Joins Family First Funeral and Cremation Care
Family First expands in New England
Pembroke, NH – Roan Family Funeral Homes, having served the Suncook Valley community for over 80 years, has recently announced that they have joined Family First Funeral Homes.
The business, which has locations in both Pembroke and Epsom, has grown dramatically in the last several years under the ownership of Matt and Katie Roan. With this growth, the owners realized that joining a larger group could make sense to help them continue their expansion.
Matt Roan explained, “The growth of our funeral homes was something we never could have imagined. As humbling as this has been, it also made us realize that the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks were taking us further away from our own family and what we are truly passionate about — serving other families.” He added, “Our daughters have gracefully tolerated countless interrupted holidays, birthday parties, dance recitals, dinners, and family time. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that our time is precious. There are no ‘do-overs’.”
By joining the Family First team, both Matt and Katie are now able to focus on the families they serve, supporting their community, and being present at home. “We’re happy that Family First is privately owned – we ultimately chose Family First because they are not a publicly traded conglomerate nor a group backed by venture capitalists,” explained Katie Roan, adding, “Family First is genuinely family-focused and we have tremendous admiration for their honesty, integrity, and vision as we’ve worked through this process.”
