NewBridge Group Advises Rollings Funeral Service on Continued Ohio Expansion
MARIETTA, OH – NOVEMBER, 2020 NewBridge recently advised Rollings Funeral Service (Rollings) on the successful acquisition of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Homes’ three locations in the Marietta, OH area. The funeral homes, which have been serving their communities for over 40 years, were formerly owned by William (Bill) and Patricia Peoples.
Greg Rollings commented “I was so excited to bring Cawley & Peoples Funeral Homes into Rollings Funeral Service. Not only have they built a long heritage in their community, but they’ve also established a fantastic funeral history museum that aims to show us the rich traditions of funeral service throughout American history. I look forward to this new acquisition and helping Bill and Patricia to continue their hard built legacy.” Rollings also added that this marks his fifth funeral home in Ohio.
Bill Peoples mentioned that with nearly 50 years as a licensed funeral director and over 40 years of owning his own funeral home, it was time to start living life in the “slow lane.” When asked why he decided to sell his firm to Rollings, he said “they [Greg and Debbie Rollings] intend to maintain our current employees, which was a high priority for us to consider. The name of the business will continue as well.” Also, seeing how professional everyone at Rollings Funeral Service was and the care Rollings had for his community and the history of his business is also something that left Peoples feeling everything was in good hands. When asked about his overall thoughts of the process, Peoples mentioned “Rollings brings a lot to the table. We’re proud to be affiliated with them and we have absolutely no regrets.”
